Afternoon tea at the Savoy

After living here for almost 2 years I finally had proper British afternoon tea.   I went to the Savoy with a friend and it was a great time enjoying both the food and the atmosphere. We were there for about 3 hours and included the following
First serving:
Champagne
Scones with clotted cream, homemade jam and lemon custard
Tea sandwiches (the little sandwiches with the crust cut off)

Second serving:
Tea – I selected the Savoy Afternoon tea blend
Selection of pastries

Third serving:
Tea – Moroccan Mint
Victoria sponge cake
Chocolate fudge cake
Some sort of fruit cake (which I didn’t try)

By the end I was stuffed and on an incredible sugar high.  It is definitely not something I would do frequently but it was a fun experience. It wasn’t cheap either at £54 per person.
