I
was thrilled to see Olympic Beach Volleyball. While my favorite Olympic event will always be athletics,
beach volleyball is fun to watch and the venue at Horse Guards Parade is supposed
to be the most iconic location of all the London 2012 venues.
Horse
Guards Parade is located between Downing Street and the Mall, in front of
Whitehall. From my seat I could
see the London Eye and Big Ben as well as great views of central London.
I
had a great time! I got to see
Session 1 which included 2 Women’s and 2 Men’s matches. The weather was a bit chilly but it
only sprinkled a few times…. so it was a perfect British summer day in August. I loved how much excitement was in the
air as everyone just seems so excited to be at the games.
